Counselling Services

Maybe life just feels heavier than it used to, and the spark that once kept you going isn’t there right now.

You might catch yourself worrying about the same things over and over, unsure how to quiet your mind or break the cycle.

Perhaps you’ve thought about therapy but aren’t sure how it could fit into your busy life… or if it would even help.

Maybe you don’t know who to talk to about what you’re really going through, and it’s starting to spill into other parts of your life.

Or maybe you’re simply feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or worn down by too many “what ifs.”

Whatever you’re facing…stress, burnout, uncertainty, or many other struggles. You don’t have to navigate it alone.

Benefits of Counselling

Through counselling, you can begin to:

  • Understand your thoughts and emotions so they feel less overwhelming

  • Make peace with parts of your story that have been hard to accept

  • Recognize your strengths and use them to take small, practical steps forward

  • Learn ways to manage unhelpful thoughts and focus on what matters most

  • Get clear on what’s important to you and make choices that align with it

  • Find meaning and purpose, even in times of change or challenge

  • Build kindness toward yourself and feel more calm and confident in daily life

Online Counselling

I offer online counselling to residents across British Columbia, making therapy accessible no matter where you live. Whether you’re in Vancouver, on Vancouver Island, or in a smaller or more remote community, you can connect from the comfort of your home… or any space where you feel at ease.

Online counselling works much like in-person sessions. We can meet face-to-face through secure video or connect by phone, giving you the flexibility to fit therapy into your life. This approach allows you to prioritize your mental health without travel time, parking, or waiting rooms, helping you feel more relaxed and ready to focus on yourself.

Online therapy also makes it easier to stay consistent with your sessions and maintain progress, even with a busy schedule or changing circumstances.

All online appointments are conducted through a secure, encrypted platform that complies with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) to protect your privacy and confidentiality.

 FAQs

  • Absolutely! In today’s world, online and phone counselling are both highly effective and convenient options. In fact, I closed my in-person practice long before the pandemic when online counselling became more mainstream. While it might feel a bit unfamiliar at first, many people find that these platforms offer a safe, comfortable space for reflection and progress

  • It’s important to check with your own health insurance provider to confirm whether counselling is covered under your plan, as coverage can vary depending on the insurer and policy.

Some clients have successfully received reimbursement through:

Please note, I am not a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) — I am a Registered Master Practitioner of Clinical Counselling (MPCC), a designation recognized by the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA).

  • The length of therapy is tailored to your individual goals and the challenges you're facing. For some, short-term therapy (6-12 sessions) is effective in addressing specific concerns, while others may benefit from longer-term support. Throughout our time together, we'll regularly assess your progress to ensure the therapy remains aligned with your needs. Many clients also find it helpful to reach out on an as-needed basis once we've worked through the initial challenges.

  • A 50 minute counselling session is $140 (price includes GST)

  • What to Expect in the Intake Process

Your first session is an intake appointment designed to give you the time and space to share what’s bringing you to therapy and what you hope to work on. Together, we will explore your background, current concerns, and goals, as well as any relevant personal history, so I can gain a clear understanding of your needs. This session is also an opportunity for us to determine mutual fit and suitability for working together — ensuring the therapeutic relationship is a good match for your needs and goals. From there, we will decide on next steps and create a plan that supports you moving forward.

  • Life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give me at least 12 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee. This can be done in your Jane App account where you booked online or by contacting me by email, voicemail, or text. If you miss a session without providing 12 hours’ notice, a full session fee will apply.
